During the Prime Minister’s official State Visit to Seychelles, India and Seychelles co-launched a bilateral roadmap to transform the Indian Ocean Region (IOR) into an “Ocean of Opportunity.” The framework emphasises maritime security, the blue economy, digital connectivity and climate resilience, reinforcing India’s SAGAR (Security and Growth for All in the Region) vision and its role as a net security provider in the region.

India–UK CETA to Take Effect from 15 July 2026

The India–United Kingdom Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA) is set to come into force from 15 July 2026. It is one of the most significant free-trade pacts signed by either country in recent years, expected to boost bilateral trade, lower tariffs on key goods, and expand market access for Indian exporters in sectors such as textiles, leather and pharmaceuticals.

‘eSushrut@Clinic’ Launched to Digitise Small Clinics

The Government launched eSushrut@Clinic, a milestone in India’s digital-health journey that empowers small clinics with affordable health-tech and strengthens the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM). The platform links patients to electronic health records and national health registries, extending digital healthcare access to smaller facilities.
