NITI Aayog Report on India’s Tourism & Hospitality Sector
NITI Aayog, along with the Ministry of Tourism, released a report on India’s Tourism and Hospitality Sector aligned with the Viksit Bharat 2047 vision. The report flags that hospitality projects currently require 50–60 licences and approvals, and commercial hotel projects take 36–48 months from approval to commissioning against just 12–18 months in competing ASEAN economies — recommending single-window clearances and industry status for hospitality infrastructure.
NITI Aayog Releases ‘Strategic Roadmap for Making Ayurveda Global’
NITI Aayog also released a report titled “Strategic Roadmap for Making Ayurveda Global”, assessing worldwide adoption of Ayurveda on parameters of availability, acceptability and propagation, and laying out a framework to position Indian traditional medicine in mainstream global healthcare.
ISRO’s GISAT-2 Geo-Imaging Satellite Slated for Launch This Month
ISRO’s GISAT-2 geo-imaging satellite — designed to provide near real-time imaging for disaster monitoring, border surveillance and rapid-response applications from geostationary orbit — is scheduled for launch in July 2026. GST Collections Rise 13.9% to ₹1.95 Lakh Crore in June 2026
