1. G7 Summit opens in Evian-les-Bains, France (15–17 June 2026)

The G7 Summit opens in Evian-les-Bains, France, on 15 June 2026, with the prolonged West Asia conflict, energy security and the global economy dominating the agenda. France has invited the leaders of Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and the UAE for a special session on the conflict and the threatened closure of the Strait of Hormuz. 2. FIFA World Cup 2026 under way across USA, Canada and Mexico
